Food choice

When I moved from my mum and dad I was very excited to try and not eat the same food everyday. I come from a family were we only had one kind of dish for each weekday (almost at least). When I moved, I tried to make different dishes, but then I stoped trying and started to eat the same over and over again. So I was thinking: I want to try different recipes (or at least more than just a few dishes). I spend most of my time at school and reading, so I don't want to spend alot of time making food. Still I want to try when I have the time, and to eat more fruit and vegetables.

Today I toasted a ciabatta with cheese and ham, and made a salad with peppers, carrot, spring onion and rucola salad + a banana and orange smootie

Do you have some good recipes, or some food blogs you can recommend?

Retro inspired catwalk #6

Christian Dior

(Spring 2011 Couture)
Paris Haute Couture weekend has started, and John Galliano is one of the few who understands that often less is not more: more is more. The style is in many ways retro: 40s tailored skirts, 50s silhouette with full skirts, cinched waists, hats, and 40s/50s hairstyles, but on the other hand the silhouette is so over the top that it sometimes give me that baroque feeling. If you mix in the masks as well, it feels like a glamorous masquerade ball. On top of that you have this kind of futeristic makeup look going on. Galliano makes this bold mix look both sexy, flirtatious and elegant.

Pictures are taken from style.com, and I would recommend you to take a look at the complete collection and the wondefull detail shots.

Models:
Yulia Kharlaponova, Olga Sherer, Nimue Smit, Melissa Tammerijn, Maria Kashleva, Magdelena Frackowiak, Lindsey Wixson, Lee Hye Jung, Laura Blokhina, Karolina Kurkova, Julia Saner, Juju Ivanyuk, Jac, Georgina Stojiikovic, Frida Gustavsson, Daphne Groeneveld, Caroline Brasch Nielsen, Carolin Loosen, Angela Lindvall, Alin Baikova, Agnete Hergelund, Karlie Kloss

Retro inspired editorials #6

The Chic and the Cars by Sofia Sanchez & Mauro Mongiello
for Vogue Gioiello

(october 2009)
I just love this colorful fashion editorial with its mix of bright colors and pastels. Giovanna Battaglia is the stylist of the shoot and boldly mixes a 50s style with a more edgy and modern look. Take a look at the pictures in full scale for a more pleasant view.

Golden Globe fashion

First of all I have to say: yawn! The fashion on this years Golden Globe was far from exciting. I'm so tired of strapless and asymetrical dresses, and there were very few who had the entire "package". My two favorites has to be January Jones (the dress had some elements I didn't like, but it actually looked fantastic on her, and her hair and makeup was gorgeous) and Jayma Mays (she had the whole package and a look which I loved). Here are some pictures of the two and some pictures of some other looks I liked (even though most of them lacked that little extra), and lets just hope that the fashion of the Oscars is abit more exciting!

Jayma Mays in Alberta Feretti

January Jones in Atelier Versace

Leighton Meester in Burberry

Scarlett Johansson in Elie Saab

Sarah Hyland in Max Azria Atelier

Sandra Bullock in Jenny Packham

Michael Douglas in Canali and Catherine Zeta-Jones in Monique Lhuillier

Jo Andres in Nanette Lepore and Steve Buscemi in Agnès B

Jeremy Renner in Prada

Emma Stone in Calvin Klein Collection

Dianna Agron in J Mendel

Brad Pitt in Versace and Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace
