Food diary

I have actually tried a new recipe every day for the last three weeks (beside those days when I've got some left overs or those days I've spent at my mum and dads). These are the dishes I have made:

Just ignore some of the larg portions. Next step: learn how to make food for only one person. And yes, I do love pasta! I guess I could have taken some more delicate pictures, but this is not a food or photo blog anyway

Food choice

When I moved from my mum and dad I was very excited to try and not eat the same food everyday. I come from a family were we only had one kind of dish for each weekday (almost at least). When I moved, I tried to make different dishes, but then I stoped trying and started to eat the same over and over again. So I was thinking: I want to try different recipes (or at least more than just a few dishes). I spend most of my time at school and reading, so I don't want to spend alot of time making food. Still I want to try when I have the time, and to eat more fruit and vegetables.

Today I toasted a ciabatta with cheese and ham, and made a salad with peppers, carrot, spring onion and rucola salad + a banana and orange smootie

Do you have some good recipes, or some food blogs you can recommend?

Yum!

As I’ve already said; I’ve just moved to an appartment. This is the first time I’ve moved from my parents and the house were I grew up, and its (almost) the first time I’ve done those things I’ve always taken for granted: cleaning the appartment, washing clothes and cooking my own dinner. It’s actually been going perfectly well. When it comes to food, I come from a family were we do not eat anything out of the ordinary. That means; pasta each Monday, sausages each Tuesday, fish each Wednesday, etc. So I said to myself that when I moved out I would try not to get stuck in those same routines. That does not mean that I have to make completly different courses each week; even the small differences makes the food more excotic.

So this is what I made yesterday and today, and what I want to make tomorrow:

Yesterday: Chicken filet in homemade marinade, with pasta in melted cheese and a salad.

Today: Chicken filet in homemade marinade, with fried rice and vegetables

Tomorrow: Burned Love: homemade mashed potatoes with cheese, garlic chives, sausagebits and champignons

And here are some pictures for inspiration:
